Description

Bedfords Farmhouse is likely a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house that underwent significant alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is built on an L-shaped plan with gables at each end of the front facade, and a central attic gable. The house has two storeys and attics. The front has a three-window range, featuring 20th-century casement windows, some with leaded lights. A doorway with panelled reveals is sheltered by a Tuscan porch. The roof is tiled and features two chimney stacks; one retains three octagonal shafts, while the other has been rebuilt.
