Description

Hyde Hall is a moated timber-framed manor house built around 1600. A portion of the moat remains on the south-west side of the brick garden wall. The house has undergone significant restoration, with all the timber-framing exposed on the front. The upper storey jetties out across the entire front and features four jettied gables. Some of the bressumers are carved and moulded. The building has two storeys and attics, with 20th-century casement windows that include leaded lights. The ground storey has some modern brick nogging. At the rear, there are five gables. The roof is tiled and has red brick chimney stacks with flat pilasters. Some of the front gables include modern attic windows.
