Description
This building is a barn located 140 meters east of Brizes Park, dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a half hipped roof covered with peg tiles. The barn has a central midstrey with a south-facing wagon porch that has been bricked in. Each side of the barn includes upper and lower wind eyes.
Inside, the roof is of the staggered butt side purlin type, and there is a high loading door at the western end. A winnowing board remains in grooved recesses. At both the eastern and western ends, there are 18th and 19th century timber-framed and weatherboarded additions that have been butted onto the central barn, with the eastern addition being the older of the two, consisting of two bays and also featuring a half hipped peg-tiled roof.
