Description
The stable block at Brizes Park, now used as classrooms, along with the garden wall, dates from the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof covered with peg tiles. The building is arranged in a U-shape around a courtyard and is single storey. The main range has six windows and three doors. The central door is flanked by windows, with outer doors and paired end windows, all of which are segment-headed sashes with exposed sash boxes and glazing bars consisting of three over four panes. The doors are boarded. The inner faces of the wings have been reconstructed in the 20th century. Each wing contains two 20th-century windows, and the larger northwest wing features a 20th-century double door. At the northwest end, a red brick garden wall extends approximately 70 meters to the northwest. The stable block and garden wall are part of a group with Brizes Park.
