Description
Flaglands Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with 18th century and later alterations. It is timber framed and has parget plastered walls, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building is in an L-plan shape and has one storey plus attics. On the right side, there are two gabled dormers, and to the left gable, there is a casement window with a label. The gable features a bargeboard. The ground floor on the right has a two-window range, while the left side has a red plain tiled bay with a central small paned door and sidelights. The left return includes a red tiled gabled porch with three steps leading to a 20th century boarded door. The cottage was originally part of the Sheepcote complex. Inside, notable features include heavy stop-chamfered bridging joists and 18th and 19th century doors.
