Description
This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 40 metres west-south-west of Great Warley Hall. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn has four bays that run from north to south and features a midstrey on the east side. Notable architectural details include jowled posts, primary straight bracing in the walls, and arched braces connecting to the tiebeams, although four braces are missing. The wallplates have face-halved and bladed scarfs, and the roof is constructed with clasped purlins and arched wind-bracing. The midstrey is an addition from the late 17th or early 18th century.
