Description

The drinking fountain, located in front of number 3 Fountain Terrace, was built in 1860. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a moulded stone cap topped with a ball finial, along with a cast iron lion's head spout. The fountain is designed as a square pier with recessed sides. On the north face, there is a cast iron plaque that is square with reversed curves at the corners, displaying the raised lettering 'Erected by Henry Smith 1860'. The overall height of the fountain is approximately 2.20 metres.
