Description
Cottesbrook is a house from the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century workshop that has been converted into a garage. The house is timber framed, plastered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. It faces north and features one internal stack at the right end and another in the rear pitch. The building is two storeys high and has two splayed bays with late 19th-century sash windows, each with a configuration of 2-6-2 lights. On the first floor, there are two early 19th-century sash windows with 16 lights. The central entrance has a half-glazed door topped with a gabled hood supported by scrolled brackets, which is a 20th-century addition. The workshop, located on the right side, is constructed of flint and red brick up to the first floor level, with timber framing and weatherboarding above, and has a low-pitched slate roof. The front features 20th-century garage doors, and there are rear extensions to the building.
