Description

Cuppers Farmhouse is a timber-framed cottage dating from around 1400 or earlier. It features black weatherboarding and rendering, with a plain tile roof that has gabled ends. The building has one storey and an attic, and it includes a three-window range: two 18th or 19th century sashes with glazing bars and a small 19th century casement. The doorway is off-centre and has a modern gabled porch in front of a brick stack from around the 16th century. There is also a 19th century brick end stack, and modern additions have been made at the rear. Inside, most of the original frame is intact, showcasing jowled storey posts, cambered tie beams, and a simple crown post roof. At least one of the original mullioned windows remains.
