Description

This is a 16th-century barn located approximately 30 metres northeast of Wash Farm House in Sible Hedingham. The barn is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a red plain tiled roof. It features a midstrey to the north and full height vertically boarded double doors. The structure consists of five bays, with halved braces supporting the walls and arched braces connecting the tie beams. Additionally, there are arched braces in the side purlin roof, which include intermittent collars.
