Description

This is an early 17th century or earlier house located on the south side of High Street in Earls Colne. The house is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a roof covered in handmade red plain tiles. It has a rectangular plan facing north, with an external stack on the right wall, and a rear stack that is now enclosed by a later extension featuring a catslide roof. The house extends over two storeys and has a two-window front. The windows are early 19th century sashes with 16 lights each. There is a smaller casement window next to a 20th-century entrance door with a linked pentice.
