Description
This is a block of five cottages, built in the early 19th century and extended in the late 19th century. The cottages are timber-framed with plaster infill and have a thatched roof. They are aligned east to west and face north, with three chimney stacks arranged along their length. The original part of the building is single storey, while a two-storey extension was added at the eastern end (number 1). This later extension is plastered on the front and weatherboarded at the rear, with a slate roof. Lean-to extensions are present at the rear. The cottages have five boarded doors. The windows include one 20th-century casement window at number 1, two 19th-century casement windows with four lights each at numbers 2 and 3, and two 19th-century horizontally sliding sash windows with twelve lights each at numbers 4 and 5.
