Description

This is a block of three adjacent cottages located 15 metres southeast of Terling Stores and Post Office. The cottages date from the 17th and 18th centuries and were altered in the 20th century. They are timber framed, plastered, and have roofs made of handmade red clay tiles. The main range of the building faces west, with a crosswing at the left end that extends to the rear. There are two small single-storey extensions added to the rear in the 20th century. Each range has two axial stacks. At the rear of the right end, there is a small extension that forms a catslide with the main roof. The cottages are two storeys high. The west elevation features a four-window range of 20th-century casements and two 20th-century half-glazed doors. The north elevation, which faces Crow Pond Road, has two 20th-century casements on the ground floor, three on the first floor, and one 20th-century half-glazed door. The cottages are included for their group value.
