Description
The Manse is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, located on the south-west side of Terling The Street. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The building has four bays facing northeast, featuring a stack in the left end wall and a wing at the rear, which includes a 20th-century internal stack. There is also an external stack at the right end and a single-storey lean-to extension at the back. The house stands two storeys high and has a three-window range of 20th-century casements. Notably, it retains 19th-century external shutters on two of the ground-floor windows, which is a rare survival, while the third window has 20th-century external shutters. The front entrance features an early 19th-century six-panel flush door with a 20th-century moulded architrave. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
