Description
The Angel Inn is a 17th-century timber-framed house that has been mid plastered and altered with additions in the 18th and 19th centuries. It stands two storeys high. The main part of the building features a three-window range, while a later extension at the south end has one window range, and an additional extension on the south end has no windows on the front. Most of the windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The first extension on the south has 20th-century casements on the ground floor. The entrance is approached by steps and features a 19th-century gabled porch supported by brackets, with shaped bargeboards. The roofs are tiled and step down to a lower eaves level on each extension. The Angel Inn, along with Nos 27 to 31 (odd), forms a group.
