Description

66 South Street is a red brick house from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a narrow frontage with one window facing South Street and two windows on the west side. The windows on the north front are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while those on the west front are horizontal sliding sashes, also with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The roof is tiled and has a steeply pitched mansard design, with three loping roofed dormers on the west side. This house is part of a group that includes New Mills and numbers 66 to 70 (even).
