Description
Two attached houses, now divided into four cottages, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The buildings are timber-framed, with plaster rendering and a roof of handmade red clay tiles. They form a long range facing northeast, with three chimneys positioned along the main ridge. The two storeys feature five 19th-century casement windows on the ground floor, alongside two former shop windows which project forward from the main elevation. On the first floor are two 19th-century casements and two late 19th-century tripartite sash windows, each with 2-4-2 panes. The front doors include a six-panel door with fluted jambs and a hood supported by profiled brackets at number 1; a similar door at number 2, with the top two panels glazed and recessed between the two former shop windows; a door similar to that of number 2 at number 3; and a plain boarded door at number 4. The roof is half-hipped at each end.
