Description
This is an aisled barn dating from around 1600, with extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a roof made of corrugated iron. The barn consists of four bays that are aligned approximately northeast to southwest, featuring a midstrey located in the second bay from the southwest. An additional bay has been added to the northeast. The structure includes jowled posts, arched braces supporting straight tiebeams and arcade plates. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins, and the arcade plates feature edge-halved and bridled scarfs. The walls are reinforced with primary straight bracing.
