Description

Pear Tree Cottages is a cottage located on High Street in West Wratting. It dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the 19th century at the southeast end. The building is timber framed, rendered, and has a long straw thatch roof. It features a red brick axial ridge stack with two flues. The original layout was likely a lobby entry plan, but it was remodeled in the 19th century. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with one full gable dormer. There are three 19th-century flush frame casements and two doorways. The 19th-century extension at the southeast end is also framed, rendered, and thatched, with a lower ridge level. A red brick stack has been inserted between the gable end of the cottage and the extension. The building remains one storey.
