Description
This is a mid-19th century lodge located on the north-west side of Stow Road in Stow-cum-Quy, serving as the entrance to the avenue leading to Quy Hall. The building is constructed from knapped flint, with gault brick and limestone dressings, and features a plain tile roof adorned with patterned ridge tiles. It has one storey and an attic, with a gable facing the street and an outshut to the east that extends into a boundary wall. There is a similar boundary wall extension to the west, which includes an iron gate and piers. A stack is positioned on the right side of the lodge. The lodge features a canted bay window with three hung sash windows set in pointed stone arches, and there is a hung sash window above. The main entrance is located on the west elevation and consists of a boarded door.
