Description

Church Gate Cottage is a 16th and 17th century cottage located on Church Way in Haslingfield. It is timber-framed and now has plaster rendering, with a combed wheat reed thatched roof. A 17th century red brick ridge stack rises from the roof, featuring two diagonally set shafts. Originally an open hall, a floor and stack were inserted during the 17th century. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with a single dormer window. It has three casement windows and two doors, all dating to the 20th century, including a door leading to a 17th century lobby entry.
