Description

No. 1 Broad Lane is a pair of semi-detached cottages that have been converted into a single dwelling, likely built in 1826. The cottages are constructed from clunch ashlar and are rendered, featuring low-pitched slate roofs that are hipped. They have a single shared ridge stack made of brick and are one storey high. Each cottage has a doorway with a pointed arch, which includes projecting imposts and keyblocks, and is flanked by two casements that have small leaded lights set in similar arches. These cottages are located at the former main entrance to the Vicarage. Rev. G.E. Davies, Mss History of Haslingfield.
