Description

Dales Barn is a cottage located on the south side of Barton Comberton Road, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with renovations made in the mid-20th century. It features an exposed timber frame with brick infill and a hipped longstraw thatch roof with a ridge stack. The building consists of three bays and is one storey high, with mid-20th century windows and a doorway in the gable end. Inside, the original trusses, including the tie beams, and some of the wall framing are still intact, although the cottage has undergone significant alterations. It is believed to have originally served as an outbuilding to Dales Farmhouse. The building is included for its group value.
