Description
The Round House is a lodge that has been converted into a dwelling. It was built in the early 19th century and extended in the late 20th century. The building features rendered gault brick walls set on a repaired brick plinth, topped with a polygonal slate roof and a central octagonal ridge stack. It has an octagonal shape with a wing extending to the south and is a single storey. The corners are accentuated with rusticated quoins, and it has cast iron lattice casements. There is a doorway located in the south wing. The building was originally a lodge for Wimpole Hall.
