Description
Quy Water Mill is an early 19th-century watermill constructed of gault brick with a hipped slate roof. The building stands four storeys high and features three 'bays' on its south elevation. Each floor has three cast iron framed windows with glazing bars, although some have been displaced as of 1983. On the north elevation, there is a cantilevered winch hoist platform at the third floor. The basement is arched over the mill stream and has splayed retaining walls, with the waterwheel still in place. The mill was operational until 1950.
