Description

The dovecote located at the rear of Ivy House was built around 1775 and altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from red brick and originally featured a pyramidal slate roof. The building has a square plan and includes a decorative eaves band. The east front has a central plank doorway, with a small shuttered opening above it. Inside, the walls are lined from floor to ceiling with brick nesting boxes. At the time of inspection, the dovecote was in a derelict condition. It is included for its group value.
