Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 16th century, with a later 16th century and 17th century rear wing, along with 19th century additions. It features a timber frame with plaster infill, 17th century red brick, and 19th century gault brick. The roofs are thatched and slate. The building has two storeys and a three-bay cross wing to the south of the hall range, which is one storey with an attic and consists of four bays, including a chimney bay. There are three ground floor mullioned windows with four- and six-fixed-lights. The main entrance is set back in a lobby entry position and has a panelled door. Additionally, there are two casement dormer windows. A 17th century ridge stack with grouped shafts is present, along with a 19th century attached stack. The roofs feature crown posts. The interior was not seen in 1984.
