Description

No. 5 Moorfield Road is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with an early 19th-century alteration. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure that has been cased in painted brick. The front roof is slated, while the rear roof is pantiled. The house has two storeys and includes a six-panelled door with a moulded wooden architrave. There are two casement windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor, all set within segmental brick arches. A tall red brick ridge stack with two diagonal shafts is present, along with a lean-to on the left-hand gable. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered ceiling beam.
