Description

No. 14 Whittlesford Road is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of timber framing and clunch, topped with a thatched roof made of long straw. The cottage features a small ridge stack made of gault brick. The layout consists of two bays with a lobby entry and a gable end facing the road. It is one storey high with an attic. The entrance has a boarded door located opposite the stack, flanked by small horizontal sliding sashes that have panelled shutters. The gable end facing the road includes a horizontal sliding sash window with an original leaded light, situated above a later window.
