Description

This building is a stable located at number 97, known as Merton Grange, and dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tiled roof with parapetted eaves supported by kneelers. Above the roof, there is a timber clock turret topped with an open-sided bell cupola. The stable is one storey high with an attic and has two hipped dormers that contain original twenty-pane hung sash windows. On the ground floor, there are two stable doorways fitted with later boarded doors, alongside two hung sash windows, each with twenty-four panes. Additionally, there is a mounting block attached to the front wall.
