Description

28A The Grip is a small cottage that was formerly attached to No. 28. It dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and is constructed of timber framing with plastered and painted brick. The roof is covered with red pantiles, and there is a red brick ridge stack. The cottage features three ground floor windows on the south side and has its main entrance facing north, providing access to the rear of No. 28. This cottage is one of the few that remain from a group of small cottages that once enclosed a courtyard behind No. 28.
