Description

No. 34 The Grip is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a plastered plinth and a thatched roof with a ridge stack. The cottage has one storey and an attic, arranged in a three-unit plan. The main entrance is on the north side, with a boarded door. There are three windows of varying sizes, along with one gabled dormer window that has casements. Inside, the cottage retains its exposed timber frame, an inserted mullioned window, and original hearths. The building is shown on the 1840 Tithe Map.
