Description

Nos 52 and 54 on High Street are a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed of gault brick and have a cased timber frame, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The cottages feature gable end stacks and a local red brick ridge stack. They are one storey high with attics, and have three gabled dormer windows on the facade, which are plain tiled and contain fixed lights and casements. On the ground floor, there are three twelve-paned hung sash windows and two half-glazed doors.
