Description

No. 1 High Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, featuring a 19th-century facade and a 20th-century extension at the rear. The building is constructed of soft red brick, with local yellow gault brick used for the front wall, and has a thatched roof made of reed with end stacks. It has a two-bay plan and is one storey high with an attic. There are two dormers and two recessed horizontal sliding sash windows on either side of the doorway.
