Description
The White Horse Inn is an inn with origins dating back to the 18th century, which has undergone alterations in the early and late 19th century. The building features a combination of painted brick, red brick, local gault brick, and late 19th-century gault brick. It has a red plain tiled roof with end stacks and stands two storeys tall, with a rear wing that is one storey and has an attic, topped with a tumbled brick parapet gable. The main facade was rebuilt in the late 19th century and re-roofed, while the west gable reveals exposed brick from the earlier structure. The facade includes three four-paned hung sash windows set in segmental brick arches, alongside a modern door framed by a 19th-century wooden doorcase with corner bosses. On the first floor, there are three smaller four-paned hung sash windows.
