Description

The cottages at Elmlea, comprising numbers 13 and 14 Silver Street in Litlington, likely date to the late 17th century, although they may have earlier origins. They are timber-framed with roughcast rendering and painted brickwork. A red brick stack sits on the ridge, and another is at the rear of the cross wing. The roofs are thatched. The main range is a single storey, with a two-story cross wing to the left and a rear outshut. The front features two 20th-century doors, two casement windows, and a small bay window. There are also two eyebrow dormer windows. Inside, the exposed timber frame remains, including floor frames, stop-chamfered beams, and joists. A relined hearth is also present.
