Description

Chest tombs A and B are located approximately 15 feet to the east of the chancel of St John's Parish Church in Duxford. Chest tomb A is made of limestone, featuring panelled sides and a coped cover. It has inscriptions in two panels, painted black, commemorating Sarah Piper, who died in 1833, and Elizabeth Piper, who died in 1879. Chest tomb B also has a limestone cover and posts, adorned with a Greek fret design and white marble panels, but it does not have any inscriptions.
