Description

This early 19th century thatched cottage is situated on the east side of Hinton Way, Great Shefford. Originally constructed of brick, though now rendered with plaster, it features a large, low, hipped roof thatched with long straw. Deep eaves extend outwards, supported by rustic poles which form a loggia around the cottage. A central stack is built of white brick. The cottage is single-storeyed, with two 20th century windows positioned on either side of the central doorway, which retains its original boarded door and cover strips.
