Description
Linton End House is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century, which was renovated and extended in the mid to late 20th century. It is timber framed, rendered, and has a tiled roof. There is a red brick chimney on the north side of the ridge and a late 17th to early 18th century external end stack on the west gable end. The main structure is an east-west range with a kitchen bay on the north side and a stair turret at the angle. The house has two storeys and an attic, with modern windows on both the first and ground floors. The doorway is located in the centre bay, and the kitchen bay, originally a single storey, has been raised to two storeys. The stair turret features a gabled roof. Inside, there are red brick inglenook hearths in the kitchen and hall, a newel staircase, and some exposed framing.
