Description
Jasmine Cottage is a house dating to 1653. It is timber framed and now has roughcast rendering and a plain tiled roof. A ridge stack features four conjoined shafts on a rectangular base with a moulded cornice; a cut brick just below the cornice displays the date 1653. A 19th-century stack of gault brick is located at the northwest end of the crosswing. The house has two storeys. The front features two modern first-floor windows and one ground-floor window. A doorway originally designed to create a baffle entry is now partially blocked and contains a window. The crosswing also has a modern first-floor and ground-floor window, along with a doorway. The west wall of the crosswing retains an 18th or 19th-century three-light casement window with leaded panes. A small projection at the rear likely housed the staircase. The interior has been modernised.
