Description

This is a house, originally two dwellings, dating from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber-framed and now plastered, with plain tile roofs. The building comprises a one-and-a-half-storey main range and a two-storey jettied cross wing to the east. A painted brick plinth runs along the base. Modern windows are fitted, including three ground floor windows, two dormers on the front gable, and one attic window with casements. The main entrance, located to the left of the cross wing, is a six-panelled door dating from the 18th century. A rebuilt ridge stack is present on the main range, and the jetty has been boxed in. Original plasterwork was uncovered during a recent restoration.
