Description

This is a late 17th-century house and shop that has been altered in the 20th century. It is timber-framed, now covered with a 20th-century cement render. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a red brick ridge stack and a deep painted brick plinth. The building is two storeys high, with a moulded eaves cornice. It has 20th-century casement windows and shop windows. A half-glazed panelled door is on the right, and a six-panelled door with a pulvinated frieze and dentil enriched pedimented wooden doorcase is on the left. There are two first-floor horizontal sliding sash windows and two nine-paned flush-framed hung sash windows. The interior retains exposed timber framing and a floor frame, along with red brick hearths.
