Description

No. 1 King Street is a cottage that dates back to the 18th century but was restored in the mid-20th century. The building features some timber framing, with early 18th-century brick end walls and a front wall made of 20th-century bricks that is rendered. It has a steeply pitched roof covered with pantiles, complete with end stacks and original tumbled parapets. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. The three dormers, ground floor windows, and doorway were all added in the mid-20th century. Inside, there is some framing visible in the rear wall.
