Description
11 and 12 St Botolph Green are two cottages that were originally one dwelling, with a later small additional cottage. They date from the mid-17th century and have 19th-century alterations and additions. The cottages are built of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and feature brick copings on the parapet gables. The roofs are thatched and have Collyweston stone slates. There is a brick ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. The buildings are two storeys high, with a 19th-century rear outshut and a two-storey gable addition to the east. There are two entrances with 19th-century panelled doors, and two two-light casement windows with chamfered wooden lintels. Additionally, there is a boarded door on the right side and one ground floor casement window with a segmental arch, along with a small first-floor casement window.
Inside, there is a stop-chamfered cross beam and a sealed open hearth in the east room.
