Description
No. 6 St Botolph Green is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century, with later modifications in the 18th or 19th century and renovations in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features a 20th-century ridge pantiled roof. It stands two storeys tall and has a lean-to extension on the south-east side. The gable end stacks have been partly rebuilt with brick, and the parapet gable is adorned with chamfered coping.
The entrance consists of recessed 20th-century glazed doors located to the right of centre and at the lean-to. There are two 20th-century two-light casement windows on the ground floor and two more casement windows on the first floor. The north-west gable end features a three-light casement window with ovolo mullions and a moulded cornice. Inside, the layout has been altered to a two-unit plan, with axial and cross beams that are stop-chamfered. This building is included for its group value.
