Description

The footbridge located to the east of Thorn Gate Cottage is a Grade II listed wooden pedestrian bridge that spans the Alconbury brook. It is supported by two bank walls and a large central pier, which features pointed cut waters on both sides. The stone used for the bridge was sourced from Coppingford church. The structure is documented in the Norris Museum, St. Ives, and in the Inskip Ladds Records, as well as in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (Hunts) on page 12.
