Description

This is an early 18th century timber-framed and plastered cottage located on the north side of High Street in Alconbury Weston. It has a thatched roof which is half-hipped, with a stack rising from the ridge. The cottage is one storey high, with an attic space above, and a 19th century brick extension to the north. The west elevation features two small 19th century bay windows with horizontal sliding sash windows. Two similar dormer windows are present on the east elevation, which contains modern fenestration and doors. The interior includes a restored inglenook hearth originally featuring a baking oven, and a boxed 19th century staircase.
