Description

Home Lea is a late 18th or early 19th century symmetrical house situated on the south side of High Street, Alconbury Weston. It is a two-storey building with a rear wing. The construction is timber framed with plaster walls and painted brick foundations. The roof is now covered with asbestos, replacing the original thatch. End stacks are present. The first floor features three hung sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded frames. Two flat-roofed, canted bay windows with hung sashes and glazing bars, and reeded frieze bands, flank a central, half-glazed six-panelled door. The door is framed by a reeded architrave and topped with a triangular pediment. The interior retains the original staircase.
