Description

The Bakehouse is a building originally serving as a house, bakehouse, and granary, constructed in the mid-19th century. It features painted brickwork and a low-pitched slate roof, with a ridge stack and an end stack. The building stands two storeys high, with the granary on the first floor accessed by stairs on either side. The first floor has three windows, including two recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars and one three-light casement window. The ground floor has similar windows and three boarded doors, all set within segmental arches. Inside the bakehouse, there are original coal-fired baking ovens.
