Description

The Homestead is a mid-17th century cottage located on the east side of Green Lane in Houghton and Wyton. It has a three-unit plan and features timber framing that is rendered on the first floor, with a colour-washed brick casing on the ground floor. The cottage has a half-hipped thatched roof with a rendered ridge stack. It is two stories tall and has three modern casement windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor. There is a modern gabled porch at the front and a modern wing at the rear. Inside, the framing and a soft red brick stack are exposed.
